buy me the pemberton castle

So, the Pemberton Castle is for sale. If you have a spare 2 mill laying around, it would be a neat place to sleep. I remember the first time I drove by. I was lost, as usual in that neighborhood northwest of the 24th & lamar intersection. I drove by and realized once I passed it that I just passed some crazy castle. Anyway, I backed-up to take a better look and it was indeed a castle. It is pretty awesome. We are all into minimalistic living, but I could deal with the 4000sf since it is a castle and all, complete with stone and ivy. Take a look:

The historical sign explains:
"PEMBERTON CASTLE BEGAN IN THE 1890S AS A CYLINDRICAL WATER TOWER. IT WAS CONVERTED INTO A SMALL CASTLE IN THE MID-1920S BY SAMUEL (BUDLEY) FISHER FOR USE AS THE PEMBERTON HEIGHTS SUBDIVISION SALES OFFICE. THE CASTLE WAS ACQUIRED IN 1937 BY SAMUEL GIDEON AND HIS WIFE SADIE CAVITT. GIDEON, A RESPECTED PROFEESSOR OF ARCHITECTURE AT THE UNIVERSITY OF TEXAS, ADDED MANY DISTINCTIVE FEATURES TO THE STRUCTURE. THE HOUSE IS AN ASYMMETRICAL GOTHIC REVIVAL STYLE STRUCTURE WITH A ROUGH STONE FASE AND PROMINENT CASTELLATED PARAPETS."

Anyway, it is at 1415 Wooldridge, if you want to see it for yourself.

Hello, I actually found out about this place from my mother looking through the paper last year! Two of my friends and I made it a day to check this place out and to my amazment, it is quite bigger in person. Although I could never afford this place, at least I have plenty of photos to keep me motivated for what I want to have in the future!

Wish I had the money to buy it....It would be perfect for the Pemberton Family...

this is my dream house!! what girl does not want to be a princess in a frickin castle!! i either want to live in this house someday or maybe a tree.

Oh my god, I used to live in Scotland were I lived in a castle. My family has lived in the castle for years, but my dad thought he would move us here and sell the castle to his cousin. Oh well.
