The Austin City Limits festival is coming. One more thing that makes Austin cool, and makes me happy I don't live in Dallas. One of the others being that Dallas is a soulless void filled with evil. Anyway, some of the bands this year are

Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers
Massive Attack
Van Morrison
Willie Nelson
The Flaming Lips
Ween
Ben Harper
The Shins

There are going to be a total of 130 bands on 8 stages. Its going to be September 15-17 in Zilker Park.

There is going to be a free shuttle going back and forth from the Republic Square at the intersection of 4th and Guadalupe down to the Festival. It starts at 10 am and stop running at 11pm. There is limited parking at the festival but its $45 for 2 days or $65 for 3 days.
