Mueller plans and prices released

So more details were finally released today about the homes. The homes will range in price from from 180k to the 600s. Most of the homes will be between 200k and 450k. The size of the homes will range from 900 to 3700 square feet. We can make a reasonable guess that the 180k homes will be close to 900 square feet.

For people who were hoping for homes that were less than 180k I would not despair. Another option would be to buy a home close to the redevelopment. We recently helped someone purchase a duplex almost across the street from Mueller for less than 180k. If anyone is interested in setting up a search for real estate close to Mueller for under 180k send us an email.

Moving on, David Weekly is going to be building the affordable homes. The affordable homes will be reserved to people that make 80 percent of Austin's median income. The homes will range from 120k to 160k. The affordable homes will be sprinkled throughout the development.

The garden homes will range from 1800 to 2100 square feet and will be priced from about 280k to 320k.

Streetman will be building yard homes, which will be from 2700 to 3600 square feet and will be priced from 480k to 650k.

No garages?

Garages in back (on the alley) for the most part.

Disappointing. This looks like any development at Circle C or Cedar Park. What happened to homes 900sqft-100sqft? Did they not say in the paper a few weeks ago that homes at 900sqft would start at $180K? Will this come later or did builders laugh thinking there is no use for 900sqft? Singles, first home buying couples, 900sqft was wanted and for $180K. Anything under $200K in Austin is wanted. M1EK is on this blog too? Ugh! The life of leisure this 24/7 blog poster leads.
